Save Africa's Animals Africa is an absolutely beautiful place. From the remoteness of the Sahara desert in the north to the peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa has an amazingly diverse ecosystem. The purpose of my organization Save Africa's Animals  is to preserve the natural beauty that Africa is known for by focusing on those that need it the most: its wildlife. In 2014 I was fortunate enough to travel to South Africa during a family trip. During our travels we spent 10 days in the Sabi Sands game reserve. We were able to travel across the grasslands observing some of Africa's most beautiful wildlife from rhinos, to giraffes, to lion cubs that walked right up to our car. I was in total awe of these majestic creatures and was especially disturbed when our guide would often point out their decreasing populations. Many of Africa's most stunning wildlife is endangered. From 1st grad to Senior year in high school I went to Catholic school. Having a Catholic education meant having a lot of social and moral ideas constantly thrust upon you. One of these was of course volunteering and giving back to your community. Community service is a major Catholic tenement that anyone who had a similar experience as me is familiar with. Having this as such an important part of your education often meant mandatory community service hours each year in order to get your grade report. In my case it meant 25 hours each year that had to be signed off by your parent and by your community service supervisor. Im usually a very stubborn guy and when something is mandatory that tends to disincentive me to do it, so I did my mandatory hours begrudgingly but did not go above or beyond. Because of these mandatory hours I often had a negative association with community work. So to be honest, I just remembered that this assignment was due right now  8pm   on Friday . Since I am currently at the 90 for happy hour I guess that this writing piece will be a description of what's going on here. For those of you that don't know the 90 has a happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drinks which is a great deal. My go to drink here is usually the sculpin grapefruit. I'm usually a fan of IPAs since that is what my dad always drinks at home so he introduced me to them. But what I really like about the grapefruit IPA is the citrus flavor. It's pretty refreshing after one of those infamously hot LA summer days.   Right now the 90 is decently full. Seems like most of the people here are to watch the dodger game.
