Random Post
So to be honest, I just remembered that this assignment was due right now 8pm on Friday. Since I am currently at the 90 for happy hour I guess that this writing piece will be a description of what's going on here. For those of you that don't know the 90 has a happy hour deal of 2 for 1 drinks which is a great deal. My go to drink here is usually the sculpin grapefruit. I'm usually a fan of IPAs since that is what my dad always drinks at home so he introduced me to them. But what I really like about the grapefruit IPA is the citrus flavor. It's pretty refreshing after one of those infamously hot LA summer days.
Right now the 90 is decently full. Seems like most of the people here are to watch the dodger game. They are currently 2-0 in the top of the 3rd. However, what I'm watching right now is the World Series of Poker. I really like to play poker with my friends on occasion so like to see how the pros play. I try to learn a little bit on how to play from them. I hope to one day to actually enter into a legit poker tournament but definitely need to get better before I do that.
I'm with 6 of my friends right now so we just ordered 60 wings. We decided to get 10 of each flavor which are 911, dirty Baltimore, Parmesan garlic, BBQ, but we got 20 buffalo. My favorite of this group are the buffalo. I've thought about this before, but does anyone actually know what buffalo sauce is. I know I like it but just don't know what it is. Please comment here if you can answer this question. Anyways hope you enjoyed my mindless rambling.
After a little bit of Googling, apparently buffalo wings are named that because they were first made in Buffalo, NY, and not because of buffalo the animal. You eat 10 wings each? I feel like that's a lot, but then again wings are pretty small and I haven't eaten wings on many occasions in my life. I'm not exactly a chicken wing expert.
ReplyDeleteIt's a terrible world we live in today,. You cannot ask a simple question like what is buffalo sauce without being a bafoon or lazy. all the information we once wondered about is simply in our pockets if we truly want the answer. But in my (expert) opinion the world is a better place when we ponder these questions with friends rather than read the answer alone with no conversation or debate.
ReplyDeleteit sound like buffalo sauce has a variety of ingredients but some are vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, butter etc. (according to a recipe from allrecipes) I also know the amount of each ingredient added can vary based on restaurants. I liked this post a lot! It was very observational and present moment which makes it very nice to read.
ReplyDeleteLol, I love how you wrote this random blog post from the inside of the 90 and I love the fact that we have the freedom to write about anything we want. IPA's are my best friends favorite beer of choice as well, I don't particularly love the taste but I've never had the grapefruit flavored one. Sounds delicious!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious. Seems like you had a fun friday evening. As a fellow poker player, I do not enjoy watching poker at all, I think it is so lame and boring, but playing it always seems to get my adrenaline going.
